250V BS 6883 Collectively Screen Instrumentation & Control Cable application

Collectively Screen cables are designed for use in fixed wiring in ships and offshore units, e.g. safety and emergency lighting, fire pumps, shut down systems, communication systems, gas detectors, and alarms. These cables are ideal for occupied areas including accommodation facilities, control rooms and computer suites.

This 250V BS 6883 Collectively Screen Instrumentation & Control Cable has a maximum conductor emerature of 90℃ and a low temperature rating of -40℃. The jacket is resistant to sunlight, moisture and vapor penetration. It is also an economical alternative as the need for conduits and pull boxes is eliminated.

250V BS 6883 Collectively Screen Instrumentation & Control Cable construction

1. Conductor: Tinned copper wire stranded circular cl. 2 BS 6360/IEC 60228.
2. Insulation: HF-EPR GP4 according to BS 7655 1.2.
3.Lay-up: Pairs, triples.
4. Collective Screen: Aluminium/polyester tape + drain wire tinned copper.
5. Inner Sheath: Halogen free thermosetting compound SW4 according to BS 7655 2.6 or reduced halogen thermosetting compound SW2 according to BS 7655 2.6.
6. Armour: Galvanized steel wire braid. Tinned bronze wire braid can be offered upon request.
7. Outer Sheath: Halogen free thermosetting compound SW4 according to BS 7655 2.6 or reduced halogen thermosetting compound SW2 according to BS 7655 2.6.
