Eelastomeric insulated cables are designed for fixed wiring in ships and on mobile offshore units, suitable for use in power and control applications.

This 1KV BS 6883 Armored Power & Control Cable is for fixed wiring in ships, and in mobile and fixed offshore units (e.g. drilling rigs, oil platforms, etc.). For use in regularly occupied areas such as accommodation facilities, control rooms and computer suites. Any application where life may be endangered by smoke and noxious fumes, and where vital, sensitive equipment may be damaged by acid forming gases.

1KV BS 6883 Armored Power & Control Cable construction

1. Conductor: Tinned copper wire stranded circular cl. 2 BS 6360/IEC 60228.
2. Insulation: HF-EPR GP4 according to BS 7655 1.2.
3. Inner Sheath: Halogen free thermosetting compound SW4 according to BS 7655 2.6 or reduced halogen thermosetting compound SW2 according to BS 7655 2.6.
4. Armour: Galvanized steel wire braid or tinned bronze wire braid (single core). Copper wire braid can be offered upon request.
5. Outer Sheath: Halogen free thermosetting compound SW4 according to BS 7655 2.6 or reduced halogen thermosetting compound SW2 according to BS 7655 2.6.
